Since joining this forum (thanks to the guidance of TJ, Alejandro, and some others) I have managed to up my daily BF to distance to 3 miles. Awesome!

Yesterday, as I was struggling through a particulary rough stretch of road, I saw a fellow BFer headed towards me. As we passed, he said, "So, now there's two of us. Awesome!" I had no idea there was another BFer that lived in the area. Let me tell you, putting in 3 miles made me feel great but knowing I'm not the only 'wacko' in the area made me feel even better. I powered right through that rough stretch of road and shaved 2 minutes off of my best time.

BFers Unite! :)

Wacko's we are not, just

Wacko's we are not, just educated and maybe a little off of centre. ;-)

Great job though on the run.

I know what you mean...I

I know what you mean...

I feel a special kinship for fellow BF runner's... but even more so when they are running on my own turf.

For me it's a "right on!" moment. Awesome and totally kickass!

... Thanks, SoleSolace. That was like a little pick me up/warm fuzzy at the perfect time, and its fun to think I was actually helpful!

Note to self, A, follow your own advise to prevent TMTS now that your knee is feeling up to snuff no matter how excited to be runnning again you might be.

I like that, "my own turf."

I like that, "my own turf." That's exactly how I feel when I encounter another barefoot runner on "my own turf." That's right! It's mine! I was there before you! Hee. Teasing of course. I always have to stop them (there have been about 5 this past summer), to spread the word of the BRS, you know. ;-) They probably think I am annoying, like, "What's her trip?"

Alejandro - You definitely

Alejandro - You definitely were helpful!

TJ - He was here before me. So, technically, I guess I'm the one running on someone else's turf. :)

You know, if you start

You know, if you start following the hunter-gather stuff at that point turf becomes about who's urine stinks enough to hold the label of "MY TERRITORY."

I guess then it would be a

I guess then it would be a matter of who can hold it the longest. ;-)
