Race time: Do you pimp out your feet? Pics?

Hey all! I have a race (all barefoot 1/2 marathon) coming up really soon and I was wondering how or IF I should pimp out my feet? I'm thinking of doing some doodles or lightning bolts in permanent marker, or painting my toenails crazy...but then there's a part of me that would rather leave myself caveman natural.

Just wondering what others have done to show off on race day!!

I was thinking of taking a

I was thinking of taking a sharpie and doing the Nike swoosh on the side of my feet. And someone has an avatar of marker laces on the top of their feet.

As I am German I think should paint the 3 Adidas-stripes on my feet. My first halfmarathon barefoot is in 4 weeks...

Call me boring, but racing 24

Call me boring, but racing 24 organized events true barefoot in the past 16 months I've found that my plain old feet are a bigger center of attention than the red white and blue guy, the juggler, the grass skirt crowd, and the super over-done henna gang.

For your own fun decorate to the max, but seriously, at the race your bare feet are the center of attention all on their own.

Yes, but achieving it

Yes, but achieving it naturally. No gimmicks, just leaving the shoes were they belong...in the hall closet.

I'll probably do mine in

I'll probably do mine in white for the Halloween Hustle 15K and write "Ghost Shoes" in black or something, but I havne't come up with anything more obvious than nothing for my regular races... The Goodyear logo on the side with "Alterain" on the tops would be cool!!

Al la natural will freak more people out than have pics all over them. Unless you are wishing to blend in with the enviroment. You might need some urban camoflage:)

I like red toenail polish,

I like red toenail polish, freshly applied. It looks nice but it's also a training aid. If I scrap my toes via poor form, it's really obvious. I went through a lot of polish the first couple months I was transitioning. Embarrassing, but a good training tool.



For races??? I never thought about doing the Nike swoosh. Going to have to get the BFS swoosh temp-tattoo! I like it!

I always wanted to paint

I always wanted to paint wings on my feet ala Hermes, the great messenger of the gods in Greek mythology. Maybe thats a good idea for the Ho-Boo-Ken 5k.
