What is one of your best tunes for barefoot running?

Head music only for me, too.

Head music only for me, too. I like Bach.

Sometimes I switch channels and recite poetry...there's nothing like "The Wreck of the Hesperus"

It was the schooner Hesperus that sailed the wintry sea,

and the captain had brought his little daughter to keep him company.

Blue were her eyes like the fairy flax, her cheeks like the dawn of day.

Her bosom white as the hawthorne bud that opes in the month of May.

The captain he stood beside the helm, his pipe was in his mouth.

He watched how the veering flaw did blow the smoke now west, now south.

It goes on from there for 20 more verses or so. It doesn't end happy, but works into a good rythm.

I LOVE PERRY THE PLATYPUS!

I LOVE PERRY THE PLATYPUS! My kids watch Phineas & Ferb, and Perry is my favorite character.

The Perry the Platypus Theme Song is 180 bpm and is quite catchy. Not that I've run to it, however I do know the lyrics by heart. It's my wife's favorite cartoon.

Ha! Awesome (It's my oldest's fave show...one of mine, too); it'll be running through my head next run for sure now!

I don't run with a music player, so it's usually what pops into my head: Fugazi, The One by Foo Fighters, and the Fratellis are often rattling around in there....That and the Ramones.

I only run with my Ipod at the gym track (26 laps to a mile - I would slit my wrists if I didn't have music). Jungleland (Bruce Springsteen is a great one. It's long and there are barefoot girls drinking beer in it :)

I personally don't run with headphones in, thankfully the stroller has a pouch that I just put my Ipod in and I can hear it on the external speaker. Not loud but just enough. I typically like to listen to everything around me and then also alot of rock or grunge music although I have been known to listen to Sinatra on occasion while running. Doesn't matter really, I like a lot of different music.
