We reached our goal..!!!Dear Friends,

We did it!!! One thousand seven hundred people for all over the world ran 10,533.7 miles for Yiriba Orphanage. We ran with a purpose; many in thunderstorms, with the stomach flu, in sweltering 100 + degree heat... even on gravel!

Our running miles will provide school supplies, uniforms, and tuition for the kids of Yiriba Orphanage. We raised $3,500

We ran in 6 continents.... 19 countries.... 130 cities.... 10 national parks.... 10 beaches.... 5 lakes....and 2 islands.

I would like to thank you all very much for making Yiriba's Jog-A-Thon a total success!!

Record & donate the miles run on Saturday, July 23, to help raise money for an orphanage...no cost to you! They will get 20 cents for each mile run. All you have to do is record how many miles you ran that day on their website. I think it would be fun to see how many we can rack up together as a club too, so please be sure to record your mileage on this thread as well. See this link for more details: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=170223666375506

Am I missing anything?

Today, Sunday the 24th at midnight (whatever time zone you're in) is the last opportunity to log the miles/km you ran or jogged yesterday. If you played a sport or any activity that involved running, your miles will count if you ran them yesterday.

We will announce the grand total of miles tomorrow. Thanks again!!

Yeah! We will need to tally our miles and names here, then I can copy it over to the charity's FB page.

man my plans of an 8-10 miler

man my plans of an 8-10 miler got dashed by a big thuderstorm this morning... maybe if the lightning goes away I can still get out for a nice run in the rain. :p

EDIT: lightning stopped and I managed to get in a run complete with events such as "Limbo beneath the waterlogged tree branch" and "Only the puddles are not hot lava"! Put me down for 6 miles!

I finished 10.45 miles this

I finished 10.45 miles this morning. ;-)

If you want to count my running partners at City Park Runners

Sherri - 10.45 miles

I had 3 miles I ran after midnight last night (or is that this morning?). I thought I would run more today, but I'm not feeling well enough.
