If it helps any, JeepMonkey, I will be running a barefoot 1/2 marathon in October. So I will be in your group...in spirit! :)

6mi this morning........it's unusually hot/humid here right now. I felt like I was back in GA again! For the last 2 months, I've only managed about 1 run a week. That's no good, but I feel like this may be the week I change that. November is just a few short months away and that marathon isn't going to run itself!

Hey dude, post a link to your profile... there's gotta be a hundred Scott H.'s on there and I'm not adding every one of them.

BTW... I'm piqued by your screen name and its spelling... I used to drive (and thus rebuild) a Vanagon that I bought to follow Phish on tour...

Post updated. And you got it right. I use to own two VW campers, a 72 and 67. I hate that I had to get rid of them but I couldn't afford to keep them. Also, Phish is one of my all time favorites. You know, you are the first one to catch that.

Just created my DM account.

Just created my DM account. Curious to see how this compares to Garmin Connect and Nike+ sites, but seems more appropriate than regular ol' Facebook for posting run stats and talking about particular runs.

so I'm checking out the features on dailymile and notice that they also have a forum. I'm just about to post a reply on one of those ubiquitous Barefoot/Minimalist/VFF threads when I notice something: none of the known barefoot runners from this thread have ever posted to them. So now I'm thinkin' "Does everybody else know something I don't? Is posting on dailymile like sticking your nose into the RW Shoes forum or even L&O? Or is it just the case that RW and BRS have plenty of discussions and that nobody wants to participate in yet another running forum on top of posting their usual workout-specific comments on their dailymile profile?"

I haven't even looked at

I haven't even looked at their forums. I've grown quite fond of just the updates stream and the commentary/discussion that takes place on my friends' and my updates. I'm finding myself spending wayyyy too much time on there, and as my friends list grows, MOSTLY with barefoot runners, though some shoddies are friendlies (and I've inspired a few to kick off the shoes!), the motivation and inspiration I'm gaining is immeasurable. So no... no idea about their forums.

For what it's worth, it seems like most of their featured blog posts are half-ass in their support of barefoot running, IMHO.
