Those looking for 180 bpm songs

Oh, that's cool!  I don't

Oh, that's cool! I don't listen to music while I run right now, but this helps me get in my head just what the pace should sound/feel like.

Thanks!!

I use Written in the Stars by

I use Written in the Stars by Tinie Tempah which is not a problem since it plays every hour lately on the radio, and is a catchy beat. You have to double up the beat because it's around 90 bpm IIRC. And as I read elsewhere, probably here somewhere, try and count on the foot lifting so as not to pound the foot into the ground on the beat.

Last train to Clarksville is 180 bpm again, if memory serves. Of course, that's only helpful to older runners, fans of the Monkees, or classic rock nuts, lol.

Very cool iphone app. Wish

Very cool iphone app. Wish you could just select a BPM not pace since really the cadence should not change with speed

Thanks for this site. I run

Thanks for this site. I run withour MP3 but enjoy keeping the BPM up by listening in my head or quiet/bad singing. Great to see Radar Love by Golden Earing up at 200 BPM which is great for me for short distance bursts.

Well the app is total waste

Well the app is total waste of $0.99. Whoever wrote the app doesn't run. Pace does not increase with speed. Also, the somg selection was just strange. After about 5 miles I turned it off, fired up some Metallica and ran.

But, they made thier buck and I am not broke. No great loss. Ya gotta try.

I will be sending them improvements like select the cadence and set it. I tried speeding up to 7 min pace, it still felt kinds slow when it played Son of a son of a sailor at 7 min pace.

Yeah, there is a LOT of

Yeah, there is a LOT of misinformation when it comes to bpm and song listings. The one I have found most accurate was written for mobile DJ's who like to keep the beats the same when switching from one song to another to keep the groove going.

Here it is.

P.S. for those who don't feel like shelling out the dough, preview the book. You will find that the bpm you are looking for are there for your perusal. ;-)
