DMC, I may be up for doing a two person relay with you. I can't say I'm super-excited about miles and miles of crushed limestone, but if the view is good, maybe it will be worth it? Or anyone else for that matter.

Fair warning, I do get competitive when I run a race. That doesn't mean I care what times my partner runs...just that I'll be in KSOs or Trail Gloves to make the most of my legs.

Although, my avatar just reminded me that huaraches might be a really good option for smooth, crushed limestone on a warm fall day...decisions, decisions...

Smelph- Yeah I haven't ran on

Smelph- Yeah I haven't ran on it yet so I hope to find a trail with it around me

Art- That would be awesome if you would run it! I have a cabin in Vanderbilt, so I know the sights are amazing up there! Umm with the long miles, don't worry because we will get breaks throughout the the whole race. That is fine I get like that too, if I do run it in something it will be either my KSOs or huaraches if i get some miles in them.

Well I found someone to run

Well I found someone to run it with me, and he's shod but I am the process of converting him:)

If anyone is interested, I

If anyone is interested, I have the race manual for both team and individual competitors, as well as the course description, with detailed info about each relay leg, as well as my comments from running the trail last summer. Let me know if you want to see them and I will email them to you. They aren't on the website yet, but I'm always happy to give my BF/MIN brothers and sisters a leg up on the competition.

Just an update...talked to

Just an update...talked to the race director earlier this week, and plans are moving along very well. New Balance, Gu, and North Country Cycle Sports have all signed on as title sponsors for the event. As of the beginning of this week, there are 20 individuals and 3 teams registered. I know of at least 2 more individuals and 2 more teams that aren't signed up yet. We may break the 50 participant mark, which would be great for a first time event, especially an ultra.

Glad to hear its moving well!

Glad to hear its moving well! My team more or less imploded, so if you hear anyone needing a team member give me a shout. Not sure I could do a 2 man, but I could definitely do a 6. ;)
