Has anyone tried any of the "KT Tape" that is out now? I picked some up figuring I could use it for my tendon issues if they don't completely resolve before I have to start training again. 12 bucks for 20 strips seems steep, but it only takes 2 for the PT taping I suppose. So 1.20 per application, and it can supposedly last several days.

Hi C-Dog, I've had a healing

Hi C-Dog, I've had a healing case of peroneal tendonitis since last fall and love Rocktape. I buy it by the roll ($20) and cut it to size myself.

Disclaimer: I kept running in spite of all the rest advice and it has just about completely resolved now. What I did and still do; Rocktape, ice after long runs, roll the feet and calves with golfball/baseball, and the occasional ultrasound.

Hope something helps you heal- it's not fun and takes a long time to go away.

Thanks for the headsup on the

Thanks for the headsup on the RockTape. I wonder how many applications I would get out of a roll of that Stuff vs the Pre Cut I bought today. Of course I have to actually try the stuff first lol.

How long are the pre-cut

How long are the pre-cut strips versus a roll in total yardage? My guess is that you're paying more for pre-cut than the length.

I do like the roll because I would frequently mess up & have to start over when I was first learning the best way to tape. I know I wasted a lot getting it figured out.

I've used KT Tape and it

I've used KT Tape and it actually seems to be less expensive per inch, if I remember correctly. However, you're less flexible with how you can apply it.

I felt like it really helped on my IT band, and then I felt like it didn't help at all, so who knows? I think the IT band is probably kind of a tough one for taping; there are SO many areas that can make it tighten up. So I think it might be more useful for smaller areas.

The instructional videos on their site are great.

Good luck!

I've been using it for a

I've been using it for a while now. I actually use it more to cover up blisters and cuts than to provide support or muscle relief. It is very stretchy and waterproof, so it works well to cover wounds on your feet.

I also tried it when had some achilles pain this winter. It's hard to apply correctly by yourself in my opinion. I'm much more of a fan of theraputic compression sleeves to support your injuries.

I bought some when I was

I bought some when I was having my recurring knee pain back in December. Never used it though. Thought it would be good to have around just in case.

I have had some on for almost

I have had some on for almost 24 hours now. The sports therapist put it on yesterday (I may trace the outline or take a picture so I will know where to put it on next time). I have a strip that is 1.5 inches wide going from the mid section of the sole of my foot up to the top of my calf. Then there's another strip that is shaped like a very long V. The thickest part is on the sole and as it goes up the sides of my calf stopping just below the knee area. The side of the calf strips are each 1 inch wide. I can't say for sure that this is helping or if it's a combination of things (along with a calf massage, icing, ibuprofin), but I can tell you that yesterday I walked with a limp and today I'm no longer limping! One other thing to do with usage... when the guy put these on, he first cleaned my leg with alcohol then he put something else on it... something to do with preventing a latex reaction.

Saypay, did you try running

Saypay, did you try running barefoot with the tape covering blisters or did you use it only inside your VFF?

If you did run barefoot with tape how well does it stay on?

I've run barefoot with the KT

I've run barefoot with the KT tape around my feet several times. As long as you attach the ends of the tape to the top of your foot it stays really well, even when wet. Just used it on a 20 mile barefoot run, and it stayed on the whole way. Doesn't interfere much with groundfeel.
