Yeah, I am. Sick of BF Willie and the most probably not human BF Nate zipping along at air igniting speeds. Sick to DEATH.

Sound off, my double digit amigos and amigas! If your miles take longer than a pizza to get delivered, speak up!

I am a proud 12:00 minute miler going downhil with the wind at my back. You know why? I am doing it right, dang it, I am eating that candy bar of gravel, mud, and asphalt slowly. Like a champ!

Let the quickies go fast, they will be done with their run first but we will finish best!

Let's hear your times!

Umm...I don't know where this

Umm...I don't know where this puts me on your fecal roster, but I hope to run my "warmup"10 miler on the 2nd of April under 80 minutes and my 13.1 mile race on May 1st in about 104 minutes. Under 100 minutes would be very exciting, but I don't want to push it.

I'm a hardcore 12-minute

I'm a hardcore 12-minute miler. My husband is one of those speedy sorts, and I've resigned myself that we will NEVER be able to go for runs together.

I am a turtle, so you know

I am a turtle, so you know I'm slow. I've run anywhere from 9:30s to 12:30s depending on how much running I've been doing. I can only guess that I look awful when I run, but I'm not getting injured, so I must be doing something right. I care more about distance than I do speed at this point, but it would be nice to get faster, so I can complete an ultra without worrying about everyone closing down the finish line and going home before I cross it.

I ran 8 minute miles for very

I ran 8 minute miles for very long distances 20 years ago... now I am happy with 12 minute miles... and not complaining in the least.. sometimes I'm a smidge faster than that.. I haven't run a true race yet though... and I know from experience that I get a bit faster when I have all the surging crowds of people around me... at the moment, I'm just happy to get to run again and distance means more to me than speed ever will again

My recent 11 minute mile is

My recent 11 minute mile is apparently too fast for me. Anytime I try to run less than that I have "issues." Lately, I've been around a 12 min/mi. I'm perfectly happy with that for now, but I can't wait until I'm faster - if that ever happens.

Nyal, right there with ya

Nyal, right there with ya man! With the MT I have to be very careful and stay off pavement! Every once in a while I look down and see a turtle passing me haha!

Guess I'll be the first to

Guess I'll be the first to make some waves here.

Depending on how I'm feeling, and on a nice level surface, I run between 7:30 and 8:30. Did 3 miles last night at a 7:30 pace which was my fastest unshod to date. My goal is a sustainable 7:00.

I ran 4.5 last night in the

I ran 4.5 last night in the dark, and I can tell I was bookin'! I didn't wear my Garmin, but I can tell I must have been running around a 9 minute mile. I just felt really good, legs, muscles, lungs, everything came together just right. It doesn't happen often for me, but when it does, it's sensational! This turtle was cruising!

That's easy for you to say

That's easy for you to say when you run a 6-minute mile, Mokie my man! ;-)

I am not in the least bit happy about trolls who come in here just to got attention. I bet the only time you are barefoot is when you are in the tub, that is if you even bathe you hippy troll. TJ why do tho mods here allow haters to come and create a hostile environment?

Hee hee hee..... ;)

That's only when you're running with me though! Ptttth!

I don't know, Nyal. We have some real braggers here. Hee!

TJ, I SO wish that was my

TJ, I SO wish that was my case- even when I feel like I'm flying like the wind I run a solid 11 to 12 minute mile. Might as well relax because my times are about the same. Sheesh. Who are these 7-9 minute milers and what are they eating? Glad to know I'm in good company with Y'all!!!

you want to be disgusted? my

you want to be disgusted? my daughter told me for school shes nearly walked a mile in 8 mins n a few secs. She only ran a little and walked to keep her friend company. She doesn't get her speed from me and if she did it skipped me completely. I probably run around 10 min/mile, so i've discovered recently.

Kids these days!  I used to

Kids these days! I used to walk 1 mile to school and 1 mile home, and it must have taken me all day too, or at least it felt like it.

I did a 9.30 mile at my 7K

I did a 9.30 mile at my 7K last week...but I got blisters. So I guess my feets were telling me to SLOW DOWN and run an 11 like I always do when out and about in the neighborhood. That or...technique. Hehehehe :D

The funmeter has no speed readout!

LOVE that!

My runs are usually in the 11+mm range.

Recently I've been taking a different tack based on Primal Blueprint fitness recommendations and haven't been running much. I've been doing a lot of Low Heart Rate Training where I use my HRM to keep from going over my upper aerobic zone. Right now this puts me in the 16+mm range for intervals of power walk / VERY slow run. My goal is to improve my cardio capacity to where I can actually run AND stay in my HR training zone.

Peace,

Karen
