Anyone running in Atlanta this weekend? I'm flying out from Austin to run the half and would like to meet any other barefoot runners in the area.

Thanks,

Jim

I had considered it, but I'm

I had considered it, but I'm not sure I'm ready for it. I still have issues dealing with the inflammation from meds I was taking and that has slowed down my progress. I was able to run 13 miles the other day, but then had trouble with a 5-miler after that. This is a bummer because I really wanted to be able to run it with another barefoot runner. This would have been my third year in a row too. :-(

Fun race with good

Fun race with good support...a bit hilly so not a PR course for sure...temp should be in the 50's at the start, warmer than usual. Pavement is pretty good for barefooting, I dont remember any really rough sections.

Last year that was the first race I noticed lots of cheering for us barefoot runners...kind of a turning point around here. I hadn't planned on this one this year but do want to do the full marathon version someday.

Have Fun Jim!!
