Cool. Count me in as one of those that don't want to be noticed.

Jason do you know the price point yet? Have you tried the Altra's yet? I'm kind of split between the two.

Bout damn time :) Thanks for the inside scoop. I'm stoked on these. I was contemplating the Altra's but these seem to have significantly less cushioning. Looks like daddy's getting some new kicks.

Great review Jason. All of these new minimalist shoes coming out is getting me excited. I really want to swap out my VFFs for something less ugly.

I have never understood why

I have never understood why minimalist shoes are so expensive. That being said I will probably buy these shoes which I will be very disappointed if they dont last me at least 5 years.

Saypay..

Like Jason said the only difference is the uppers.

Trail Glove is the best for running.

Tough Glove is more of an all terrain light hiker shoe.

True Glove is more of an inbetweener.

The midsole and outsole are the same on all 3.

Jason, as someone who ran a lot of miles in huaraches last summer, what specifically about this Trail Glove do you find superier to a good pair of huaraches?

I'm having that moment of "hey these sound really awesome, but I don't really have that many complaints about my cheap-ass homemade huaraches, so do I really need to spend $100?"

Art- for me, these will be a better option for winter running and probably hill-laden trail running, especially long distances. Once spring arrives, I'll go back to mostly barefoot with some huarache running. I'll keep training in these on occasion to prep for Western States.

ok I went down and got a pair

ok I went down and got a pair at gazelle sports in kalamazoo this afternoon. I was told there are only 2 stores/chains in michigan who are getting them before february and the other store is playmakers.

I have never been excited about a shoe before but as soon as I slipped one of these on my jaw hit the floor. these are the most comfortable shoes I have owned in my life. ever.

If i wasn't stuck in the house tonight I would be out running in them right now. tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day for me but I might HAVE to go for a run in these things in the morning. it's like they have burrowed into my brain or something.

Jason, thank you for whatever part you played in the development/review/whatever of these shoes and be assured I threw many shameless plugs for your site and upcoming educational material at the people at Gazelle.

and I am planning on writing to Merrell to thank them for making this wonderful shoe.
