Looks like the merrell gloves

Looks like the merrell gloves get a downgrade when it comes to wet conditions, such as muddy trails, and wet rocks. Extremely slippery with no traction, exactly how the five fingers feel in these conditions. I heard someone say don't even bother with the merrell's in icey conditions, but a positive is you would have to pay extra attention to your form.

I'm chompin at the bit to run

I'm chompin at the bit to run some trail in these things. Jason, I checked out your vid of the 50k. Good stuff but its a shame you couldn't show more of the footwear :) ...only a 3 second shot of the lace-up.

Adam.. I might not be as

Adam..

I might not be as known or have the pedigree of Jason but until last year I have never worn a minimalist shoe. My opinion is that of a newbie coming into this area of running and yes they have been fantastic for me and everything that Jason pointed out in his review is true for me.

-They are awesome on trails

-They get better on the roads the more miles you have

I just can't comment much on feel or anything else as I have not worn any other minimalist shoes. And I won't since I am a Merrell employee who just happened to get a pair to "try" out last fall. That turned into running a marathon in these and now learning more about the finer arts of running.

so I hope my opinion will matter to other newbies that will start coming to these websites now once they start trying these out and researching the minimalist craze. Either from Jason's review or from word of mouth.
