John, that was one of the

John, that was one of the things that it took me a while to realize when I started to hang around you Americans. Here in Scandinavia shoes don't get more than a few feet inside the door in most places. Sure, most people tend to wear socks inside but rarely shoes.

 One of the best sympathetic

One of the best sympathetic articles I've seen. Yoshino is articulate without sounding totally woowoo. Gonna quote it in the Library.

Sounds good, Stomper.  I

Sounds good, Stomper. I think it's important to note that in our little corner of the world, we are not the only ones running barefoot, nor are we the first to embrace this. Running goes back to the very beginning, and running barefoot goes back even further.

Does anybody knows enough

Does anybody knows enough japanese to figure out how to contact them?
I'll be in Japan most of April 2011 and would love to join them for a run. But I cannot even figure out how to fill the Contact form on their website.

Have you tried Google

Have you tried Google Translate? http://translate.google.com/?hl=en#ja|en|

We would love to have a Japan Chapter, so if you get ahold of him, please ask him if he would be interested in being the Chapter President for Japan. Ask him to email me at [email protected]. Thanks. (I guess this makes you a true ambassador for BFR, Sloutre! Hee.)

Thanks TJ, I'll have to try

Thanks TJ, I'll have to try again tomorrow. I tried filling the contact form tonight without much success and it's giving me headaches.

Hi, and thanks for the nice

Hi, and thanks for the nice comments!

I wrote the article and I've since become a member of the group. I really wish I'd met them before it started getting cold. If anyone is interested let me know and I will pass on your mail. Cheers!

Louis, we would like to have

Louis, we would like to have a Japan Chapter. As you can see, we have several international chapters but not Japan. Please pass on my email address to see if there would be an interest in starting up a Barefoot Runners Society Japan Chapter. I understand he already has his own running club, so no problem if he's not interested. My email address is [email protected]. Thanks. -TJ
