I received an email this morning from a CBS producer asking permission to use one of my Gait Analysis videos from vimeo.com .
http://www.vimeo.com/7509689 He said they wanted to use it in a segment on barefoot running Friday (Nov 5th) night at 6:30 (EST) with Katie Couric. I was somewhat suspicious but I traded emails and with the person and it appears legit. (cbsnews email address etc) He said they interviewed McDougal and others from the recent NYC barefoot event. We'll see but wanted to pass along. Matt

Matt, if it's the same

Matt, if it's the same producer I am thinking of, he's legit. He contacted the BRS about a week ago looking for barefoot runners in New York City. Of course I referred him to John Durant. John and some of his friends (barefoot runners and VFF runners) showed up this past Monday in Central Park to meet with the field reporter Jim Axelrod to cut some video for the same segment that will air tomorrow night on the CBS Evening News. He said he would give a shout out to the BRS. Awesome he found you. I am excited to see this air tomorrow night. Everyone, stay tuned.

Wow! Can't wait to see it!

Everyone should contact their

Everyone should contact their local CBS affiliates to see if they're interested in doing a local piece as a follow up to the national one. I did, but I'm an AW.

We should have a contest, who can get the most camera time (in seconds) to air. If you get on air, make sure you scratch your chin as s hout out to the BRS!!

We're almost ready for a professional spokesperson and publicist!

I tried that with Rick, but

I tried that with Rick, but he's too busy with many of his own projects. Miker has been handling promotion for us, but we still need a publicist. Anyone out there got any skill sets in this area...or am I doing that bad of a job? Hee.

Can't argue with success.

Can't argue with success. Told you it would'nt be long before you'd be criss-crossing the country in the BRS jet!

What were your thoughts on

What were your thoughts on the story as a whole?

I really enjoyed this

I really enjoyed this one. There was not one negative or opposition statement to BFR. I was pleased. Of course, as my head swelled, it got more difficult to follow the story, so by the end, I was completely and utterly lost.
