Boulder and I did a 3 mile run today at 5:30 am. It was 65 deg. f. with 10 mph wind. To start there was a huge spectacular full moon just about to set to the west (it had a pink/salmon color). then further on after the moon was gone I spotted a shooting star.

Trying to get back at it again after an all-too-long hiatius due to a few Job changes and COVID really screwing with my running motivation and schedule. So hopefully sharing my mileage here will help keep me much more motivated...

2.03 miles, 22:09, indoor track at the local YMCA.

Can definitely feel how "out of practice" I am in my calves and feet. Running form and Cardio conditioning are notably better than I was expecting though...

3.1 miles around my neighborhood in drizzle and fog, 43 degrees. This was an enjoyable run which was sorely needed to help clear my mind. There was not much out and about in the dreary weather conditions. I'm hoping to take out a gym membership starting in January so I can run indoors through the worst of winter. Most gyms won't allow barefoot running so I wear yoga socks when I run indoors.

3.2 miles at Presque Isle Saturday afternoon. It was a cloudy 38 degree afternoon with a light northeast wind. It was just me and my thoughts ( and my wife and son who were walking). Heard a couple of duck hunters blasting away. My groin injury continues to improve- it takes about a mile to work through the stiffness in the tendon but after that it's smooth sailing and then with no pain the next day.

We did a 5 mile run Sunday at 6:30 am. It was 48 deg. f. with light wind and slight fog/mist. We are still doing most our runs down the country road. the last half of our run it was light out and we spotted some horses.
Great outing!!

3.3 miles late afternoon at Presque Isle on a 32 degree sunny afternoon. No other runners out that I saw which is surprising because the immediate future is looking more winter like for at least the next week. I saw a few small birds and the usual geese. The sunset over Lake Erie was spectacular. We are nearing the southernmost point of sunset in another week or so.
