5.2 miles on Monday, Columbus Day, at Presque Isle. I wore shoes to give my sore foot a break. This was another in a string of almost summer-like days. I saw a number of duck blinds appearing along my route, in preparation for the upcoming duck hunting season.
It is amazing how the little added weight of shoes can be felt in the legs during a run. A few ounces being raised and lowered 10,000 times really adds up I guess.

Boulder and I did a 2 mile run Tuesday and a 4 mile run today. Both runs were in the early morning. We spotted a shooting star on both days. We were dodging the rain days this week. Really great to get out there!!
Duckfeet, I hope your feet recover quickly. I am pretty confident they will. it is amazing how our bodies recover!

Tedlet, Way to go on the 1/2 marathon!!

Thanks Runlight, I was able to do 5.7 miles carefully today in wet conditions at Presque Isle. Perfect running temperature in the mid 50's, and practically had the place to myself. Did not see much in the way of wildlife today other than the usual seagulls, although I was preoccupied in looking out for and dodging a lot of tree debris on the trail.
Congrats Tedlet on finishing your first half marathon! That is a real accomplishment and something to be proud of.
