Trying to get back into the swing of things after a few weeks with not much running to speak of. Night-owl kids!

Anyway, enough whining, I got out this morning for a lovely 7km winter beach run. Quite cold on the sand, and the water is about as cold as it gets down here, but the sun was rising and it was a clear and still morning. Saw a few of the local diehard swimmer types out for a morning dip, but I don't have the intestinal fortitude required for that kind of endeavour so I just went in up to my knees at the end.

Boulder and I did a 3 mile run Tuesday at 5:00 am. Still warm here. We heard a few owls calling out.:) We also spotted lots of rabbits. Clear skies left way to star and moon gazing!

Really great 3 mile country road run. Still dark at the start. I mean really dark! I don't use a head light but have a slim line LED flashlight I only use for emergency's. We spotted cows, horses, one large water fowl and some birds. We heard 4 barred Owls and one rooster.

I did 2 runs this week- 5 miles on Monday and 4 miles on Thursday. I was going to run this weekend but decided to walk with my wife both days instead- 10 miles combined both days. I hope to get out 2 or 3 times this upcoming week- it is supposed to be beautiful all week.
