Diet to grow cushion tissue in the soles?

Hello, maybe this could be a silly question, but is there a way to grow more fat tissue in the ball? and heel?

I've noticed that with aging, and after several years forced to be shod at work, my soles became thin, I have callouses of course and this is ok, but when I was younger I had more cushioned sole, and more in the ball. But now I can feel my feet bones when I press it, when younger I couldn't. And I've never been chubby.

Aging process left my feet like a skeleton and maybe this is the cause I feel some pain in my big toe joint, right at the ball's level.

Any ideas?

I'd like to know too. I've had multiple surgeries and treatments to my feet that have thinned the fat pads in the balls of my feet, and having deep tissue massage therapy to loosen up the scar tissue inside didn't help with the fat pad atrophy issue either, just made it worse.

I know there are some experimental fat pad injections (fillers and botox) that are questionable some doctors are trying on their patients, but I've been the guinea pig long enough.

I've been wondering about this too.

One thing I've noticed is that when my feet are super tense I feel the bones more. To be specific, when my metatarsal heads and my heel pull towards each other. I have found massage to be helpful, where I stand on some massage balls and pull the heel and metatarsals away from each other.

Another idea I've had is if increasing body fat a little would help with this. From what I've read, you can't intentionally increase or decrease body fat in one specific place. I suspect that isn't completely true. Muscles use more energy, especially strong ones like we have in our feet, and burn the fat around them. So maybe if we increase our body fat just a tiny bit, it will help us have more padding there.
