Monday - usual tiny barefoot run around the block. This one was harder than the others for some reason. The stones seemed spikier than normal, and I was forcing the smile to try to relax. I saw a man carrying two baguettes. He didn't say hello even though I bared my teeth at him .

Tuesday, steady pace treadmill. I'm quite enjoying the 8km/h / 7:30/km now. It feels like I could keep going for a long time. My heart rate is staying down nicely too.

Wednesday, the drill program I'm following said to speed up for the middle portion, so I tackled 9km/h. Quite hard, and a relief to get back to my comfort zone of 8km/h. :dead:

Sometimes I think you just get days that feel different and you have absolutely no idea why! It's probably down to very minor changes in form, or that you are slightly more, or less, relaxed than before... All excellent experience though!:barefoot:

....& yes it is frustrating when you offer a passing stranger a greeting (a smile or a cheery hello) & the reaction you perceive back is something akin to you not actually being visible at all!... (the human race frequently baffles me on those occasions...;)).

Thursday and Friday - barefoot treadmill. To get my cadence up from 180bpm, I've downloaded myself a rocking 190bpm music track:
It feels a bit harder at the moment, even at my comfortable 7:30/km, but I also feel a lot more as though I'm dancing rather than plodding, and the graphs (yes, I still love those analyses) show that my running is smoother and floatier (real word? it is now!).
I'm also using this treadmill time to try to concentrate on posture - knees bent, legs relaxed and springy, pelvis forward, relaxed shoulders, eyes forward, smile...

Dare I / should I try 200bpm?
