Glasses and running

I usually wear contacts when I go for a run, particularly longer ones. Sometimes I don’t bother with them either when going for a shorter trot...the scenery is a bit blurry but I’m usually in a bit of a zone when I’m cruising the trails.

i almost never wear my glasses while running. while my eyesight is bad, and my astigmatism makes my head ache after an hour or so without glasses on, it is not that bad that i wouldn't see a tree or another runner in my way. i sweat decently while running and having to take off my glasses to wipe my sweat is very annoying. As is my glasses constantly bouncing on my face as i run. Bottom line is it is different for every person who wears glasses and runs. Do some trial runs with/without them on and see which works best for you.

I wear glasses all the time, no problem with running either. As my eyesight is quite lousy, it's safer to use glasses when trail running, because I probably would get some twigs into eyes.. Especially when orienteering, as there's lots of non-trail forest running. Some orienteering people with normal eyesight use protective glasses also, so normal glasses are actually better than nothing.
