Yeah, NYC Marathon Week was a big deal here in NYC. There was a bit of excitement created by Sidy Diallo's barefoot run, so the reporter was looking for other NY barefoot runners.

I guess you noticed they interviewed me and Ken Posner (@posnerk) for this article.

Chris McDougall had come to town to plug his new book "Running With Sherman," so Joe Maller and I joined in a little evening 5K run in Brooklyn. I posted pictures of Chris and Joe on the Barefoot NYC Meetup page (not the greatest pictures, since it's now getting dark pretty early).

Did you also see Ken Posner's post on his barefoot 33-miler in New Jersey (Batona)?

For this year's marathon we should also reference the article on Brynda Mara Grube, who ran barefoot and in tribal gear this year.

Chris McDougall's favorite charity, "Back On My Feet," got a good mention with the work they do for the homeless:

Congrats to those like Joe Maller, who ran the marathon in huaraches this year, who volunteer with Back On My Feet and for all their runners.

Sorry, no I didn't put it all together, that you guys were in it. I'll check through it again. Thanks for letting us know.

@IraR, it looks like I hit upon one of the two articles above that don't mention you. Sorry about that. This two did come to me today though, and they mention you in the description:
