Haven't started one of these for a few years. :)

6km on the beach this morning, started well with a pretty yellow moon over the water, but unfortunately turned a bit nasty on the return trip when a German Shepherd got a bit protective and aggressive and ran right in front of me and started growling and baring its teeth. I stopped and backed off because it was definitely going to bite me if I took one more step towards the owner, who was 50m away and doing a pretty average job of calling her dog back.

In the end I walked into the sea up to my knees to make the dog choose between staying dry and biting the human, and thankfully it was cold so the dog thought better of it. To cap it off, when the owner finally arrived she said "He's only doing that because you're backing away", as I stood in the water with her snarling dog still trying to menace me from the shallows. I informed her as nicely as I could that dog obedience is a very useful skill and perhaps she should consider availing herself and her dog of some training, and perhaps a leash would be useful in the interim.

I love dogs, but the aggressive ones should be fired into the sun with their owners. :rage:

Nobody's running? o_O

8.5km on the beach yesterday. Ran a little bit further to see some amazing sand art from a bloke who lives down my way who has an instagram account called breatheablueocean - check out his work. He shows up at low tide and works in the dark, scraping out a masterpiece on the sand with a plastic rake. The sun comes up, his mate flies a drone up and takes some photos, and then the tide comes in and washes it away.

Boulder and I ran this week.
We did 3 miles Tuesday.
4 miles Thursday and 6 miles this morning.
I missed posting earlier this week.
We spotted rabbits, lots of birds and heard screech owls.

Larry we also spotted lots of nice views of the moon this week, and have also had some confrontation with unleashed dogs (it can damper a run!)

Tedlet, hope your re-hab goes smooth.

Good luck with the rehab Tedlet.

11km yesterday to finish off the week, a nice winter morning with the sun popping out for a bit. I was a bit tired and stiff after my daughter suggested we 'camp' in the back yard overnight - sleep didn't seem to be high on her list of priorities, but it was fun, and a nice long run got everything back into place.

I also did 5km on Saturday with said daughter, following her on her bike, and pushing her up the hills when she ran out of gas. Fartlek, Dad style. :)
