Need this cold weather to stop soon

So I'm not one for posting things like this, but I feel like this should be put out there. I've been stressed out lately with my grandfather's Alzheimer's and dementia to the point where this morning I yelled at him on the phone at work. I won't go into all the details but I think some of you guys might understand. So with this stress and also the cold weather not letting up any time soon, I'm more than desperate for some barefoot walking and all that. My challenge is also in a month so that will help out a lot too.

Have you guys ever had a stressful situation like this? How'd you handle it?

I totally get it. Human beings need sunshine, and a lack of vitamin D, which most people in the US are deficient in, can lead to the blues.

I prefer the spring, then the summer. I love to watch all the trees and flowers blooming, smell the fresh, sweet air, feel the sunshine and wind. I find the darker seasons make me feel down sometimes. So I know how you feel. Come on spring!

Now tomorrow, call your grandpa and apologize. :oldman:

Dementia is an unbelievably cruel condition...
Make your peace with your grandfather. Even if he has no recollection of it -it will help you in the long run...

Been super cold here recently. Although summer is barefoot time for me, I find myself liking the dark winter nights for running, less people, bugs and glass. When I had my acreage, my best runs would be down uninhabited country roads in on dark overcast/moonless nights, something surreal about it!

Thanks guys. We have since made up about what happened and it's all good. I'm just in denial about the Alzheimer's and everything my grandpa has.

Just remember to be patient with him, and if things get heated, walk away for a few minutes to calm down. Just tell him you need a moment and will be right back, so he's not wondering why you are going to be gone for a few minutes. He may even have forgotten why or what happened anyway, but we can't be for sure.
