Time to post your total mileage count for 2018.

Post below the miles (or km) you have ran, walked, and/or hiked either barefoot or minimal.

We'll get you a shiny certificate of accomplishment!

I did 1278 kilometers. Mostly barefoot, some of it on vibrams, skinners,....
This was my first whole year of barefootrunning.
Longest distance was half a marathon.

I'm planning to exceed this in 2019 - best running wishes for everyone!
Hi Jaap, how much would you guess was minimalist?

I ran 775 miles this year. 765 barefoot and 10 miles minimalist.

I'm a little late here but I hope everyone had a great 2018!

I hit most my goals... once again ran the most amount of miles I every have, and over 90% barefoot. Didn't quite get all the race PR's I hoped for, I kind of wonder if I've peaked in speed, but we'll find out in '19.

All my races were barefoot, as they have all been for several years now. No PR's but close. Ran my 4th barefoot full marathon. Went on some great barefoot hikes in the mountains, including my longest ever backpacking trip of 5 days.

So close to my 1500 mile goal for the year!
So I did a total of 1494 miles running, hiking, and walking. 1375 barefoot and 119 minimalist (mainly about a dozen runs January & February below freezing, and just a few walks on lunch break at work with coworkers and didn't want to go barefoot with my business attire downtown lol).

Goals for 2019:
I'd like to once again run more miles than I ever have! But I realize I am getting close to what I can expect to do, with my work schedule. So not a huge increase, but lets say break 1350 running and 1500 total on foot. I did unfortunately strain my calf during half marathon training in April which led to 2+ easier months, so there is a chance of more mileage if everything goes well and no injuries.
I'll carry over my same goal I missed in '18 of breaking a 6 minute mile 5k, breaking my record half marathon (1:27), and at least two trips to the mountains hiking barefoot (and becoming and Adirondack 46-r, of which I am only two mountains shy of completing the 46 high peaks).
Hope everyone crushes their goals in 2019!

I appreciate your honesty, but really, I'm sure you surpassed 1,500 miles by simply walking an additional 6 miles in your home, for instance.

Congrats to you. That's a huge accomplishment!

Is there anyone else who wants to add their mileage?

All 2018 Mileage Certificates have been emailed out. Thanks for taking part in our yearly mileage competition. Remember to keep your mileage recorded, both barefoot and minimalist, to share next year, and as always everyone is welcome to take part.

Most of all thank you to Tedlet for all his work in creating the beautiful 2018 Mileage Certificates and Random for putting our 2018 master list together. You guys are very much appreciated!
