At the moment, i still wear sockwa's when going to the store or places where there is a chance at trash laying around. (And a chance at being seen)

I kind of wonder if i am worrying too much, winter is coming up so chances at going barefoot will be fewer once it gets too cold... So i'll need to walk around with shoes all winter. After that i kinda wanna ditch my shoes completely until next winter. (And work, need safety shoes for that.)

So should i start walking around barefoot in the city or not.

Change is always happening now ...

I have no idea if you should or should not, but I can assure you that it is possible, and the risk of stepping into trash or glass or whatever is highly overestimated. I walk around in cities barefoot all the time. There are very few problems with that here in Europe. Some shops or museums do complain, but most people will not even notice it if you walk normally. Nobody runs around watching other people’s feet all the time. Yes, some people will laugh, and some will tell you you can’t do that, and so on, but well ... why should you care?

Good luck,

Christian

P.S. If you worry about glass, carry some superglue with you, it is very useful to treat small puncture wounds.

Never heard of treating wounds with glue, interesting.

I'd most likely just carry some bandaids and put my sockwa's in my backpack, maybe a roll of bandage.

After winter when the ground warms up again i'll try walking barefoot to the grocery store, a couple of times, see what happens then decide.
