Yes, "race", because after all, it was just a 3kms paced race, mainly geared to promote a given smartwatch of a famous US phone maker. I paced myself yesterday while training at 16.58 min over the distance, this evening, we just took plain half an hour with stops every kilometer or so!

Despite the run not being very challenging, it was nice and interesting as many of the participants (in Hong Kong) and the organizers were quite positive about it. Some runners even came to talk to me about it, which was an occasion of showing them that it can be also a way of life. Oh, and at the end, we did spring a bit with my friend and I came in second in what was not really an all-out race (just a very safe and controlled paced jog). All in all, however, a good run.

Oh yeah, I went to the race (near my place) barefoot and came back barefoot. Minimalism and being light to the max.

I guess, for barefoot running promotion, it is important to go and participate to races, if not for anything else for being seen and for convincing others that it can be good for their health.

Oh, BTW, as for that watch: just don't buy it. It is really not made for running and exercise.

Glad you did well and enjoyed it! Congrats! :barefoot:
