It sounds like people who over-stride, tend to over-stride more when they try the marshmallow shoes out.

I've come to believe that if you have good running form, if your foot lands under you like it should, if you run like you were design to run, it really doesn't matter what you have on your feet. A super-efficient barefoot runner would (in my opinion) be less likely to get hurt wearing these things than a chronic over-strider.

There are "minimal" shoes that I have found I can over-stride in. This is why I try to do at least 3 of my runs a week bare - to re-train myself to run properly. I honestly believe, and I haven't tried it, but I honestly believe that if the HOKAs were zero drop, I could use them without injury - as long as I practiced my craft barefoot during the week.
