Swapped a gym session for a gentle run last night -so 7.35km done.
Went out around the local lake, which is quite a popular area for walking, dog walking, cycling, etc... so a fair number of people around enjoying the warmer temperature at last!
There are a few more gravelly sections on this route than on my usual parkrun, so I was interested to see how it would go having focused mainly on the parkrun route for the last few weeks and over Winter. -All good though. Feet felt fine and the run was pretty comfortable.
Looking forward to getting out again already!...:)

16.5 miles for the week!

6.6 Monday
4.6 Tuesday
5.2 today

I had said last week today would be the exception because snow but screw that. Last chance I'll get to run in a snow storm until fall, right? RIGHT? I better be right.

Tuesday's run was actually unshod. I kept saying I was going to give unshod in the snow a chance this year but it's still just too cold. I've made strides toward that, though, and my feet are a lot more comfortable at colder temps than I thought they could be. Tuesday was only 36F out. I think it helps that the ground is getting warmer, too. Now I'm curious how my feet are going to deal with 90F days in a couple months.

Nice shot Tedlet!

Got a couple of barefoot runs in this week. 2miles on light trail Tuesday, missed Thursday and the Tuesday run felt really good so pushed up the distance a little Saturday and ran 3.2 miles barefoot. The last little bit on rough bike path made my soles very tender! Was a good challenge though.

Great week for outings for Boulder and I
Tuesday 5 mile run.
Thursday 4 mile run.
Sunday 10 mile run, we started off about 6:00 am and took our time.
We saw ducks, 1 goose, lots of rabbits and squirrels and many different types of birds.
It was dark when we started and the sun came up while we were out.
Lots of beautiful spring flowers out.

Lookin' good there, Tedlet!

Ended last week with 36.4 miles. I'm going to hazard an even 40 this week which will be the first time in 2018 with that count for a week. Only 4.6 of those miles last week were unshod but it didn't help that here in MN winter was hanging on tight dumping 14" of snow the previous weekend and then another 8" Wednesday. And I got a small split behind my little toe on the bottom of my left foot which I think is the result of my feet going from cold to wet to dry in too short a span of time. Skin cracking just like my hands do in the winter. Liquid bandgage and keeping the Xeros on has helped that heal up nicely.
