Mileage Reporting Week 5 (Jan 30 - Feb 5)

Saturday's brick...

Ride... 1:30:34 - 26.41 miles - 1473 ft - Zwift London 8

Run... 47:00 - 5.22 miles treadmill.

The treadmill was running a little fast today and i did my fastest 1 km - 5:16.8, 1 mile - 8:29.9 and 5 km - 26:38 while running that so pretty pleased with meself. I never run to beat those small distance times but it's nice when i beat one or three now and again especially coming straight off a really hard 90 minutes on the bike.

Nice 3 mile run with Boulder on Tuesday.
5 mile run on Thursday, lots of rabbits out, 46 deg. f. 53% Rh 12 mph wind clear skies (for some stars).

Parkrun for me this morning, so just 5.2km (with the to & from the car park bit thrown in).
Quite a busy run today and the path is a little narrow in places. Pace tends to go up and down a bit therefore depending on who is ahead of you. I always start at the back as well (priceless tip of Ken Bob's I believe..), so most of the run is spent picking places to pass other runners -nothing too speedy of course, but it does seem to add an extra bit of motivation to the route.
Good run :)...

Boulder and I went out for a nice 5 mile run at 5:30 (still dark out), 50 deg. f. 87% Rh.
By the time we finished it was light outside but overcast.
We saw ducks flying overhead and rabbits.
A fire truck blew by at an intersection and boulder howled at it like a wolf.
oh yeah we also heard a rooster crow.

Good job keep getting out there and letting us know how its going!!

Had a good week, trying to get my mileage back up from my winter slump. 4 runs put me just a smidgen over 30 miles this week, yay!

A chilly 7.2 miles Monday at 18F with wind chill, then a couple days off due to working except after work Wednesday I loosened up with a short 7.4 miles on the bike indoors. The Wednesday another chilly run with windchill at 15F, feet cold but no numbness set in for 6.4 miles. Had a red-tail hawk slowly pass me on the right while I was running on the rail trail, and once it got a little ahead of me perched on a tree branch and held steady as I approached and went by, gave me a nice view. Over the weekend I ran both days, 7.2 miles at 19F on Saturday and 9.4 miles today under beautiful sunny skies and mid 40's but very windy!

Trying get back into long runs, maybe next week I'll go for my first double digit run in a few months.

Had nothing to report in the running department that week. I probably got a back injury trying to run for something in my dress shoes and came off a curb wrong (probably the shock of a heel-strike went up into my spine). Got my lower back sore and took it easy a couple days. Seems to have healed up OK since.
