So only one run last week due to going away, but got back and straight into it.

Monday, 28.42 miles ride on Zwift and then 5.8 miles on the treadmill at 5.6 mph. All really good.

Now i'm going to spend the next couple of months working on increasing speed but keeping the same 90 minutes turbo/zwift ride and one hour on treadmill with 5 min walk down. Fun fun fun! :D

7.2km this morning and a very cold start to the day -around minus 4deg C.
The ground seemed particularly cold today, with a fairly thick frost in places. Took a while for my feet to warm back up after starting as well, so I reckon that distance at that temperature is probably about my limit at the moment (otherwise I'll be reporting frostbite injuries instead!).
Not too bad a run though given the lazing around I've been doing over the Christmas period;)...

5 miles Wednesday at 5:00 am 63 deg. f. 63% Rh.
6.5 miles Friday at 6:00 am, 39 deg. f 56% Rh.
We are still seeing some rabbits and that's about it.
It has been overcast each morning so no stars or moon.
Feet good
Legs good

Just taking it easy this week with 3 easy pace usual runs for me (~6.4 miles each) Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (today). Still having some issues with my right achilles, so a couple of those I did the first half mile walking for a gradual warmup. All barefoot, all a few degrees below freezing. Not much excitement except for today. Weather looked sketchy, very windy and chance of rain. I looked at the radar and there were storms to each side of me but in a clearing. Really wanted to get a last run in for '16 so went for it. Was just fine on the out, but on the back with the wind gusting severely to my face it started to hail. Get pelted pretty good. Was actually getting through my glasses and stinging my eyes lol... shifted my hat enough to pull the front down to overlap the top edge of my glasses. Was still getting pelted in the face but at least not the eyes. After about 5 minutes of that it switched to rain which was a bit of a relief on the face but hard on the feet as I was on the verge of going numb. I had a chunk of my left heel go numb - that sensation that you have something stuck to your foot when you don't. But that was the worse of it, made it back ok and warmed up inside.

On Tuesday I did a brief 30 minutes on the rollers, about 7.5 mile cycling indoor. I don't think I'll be doing anything tomorrow, so for the week: 17.9 miles running, 1.6 walking, and 7.5 cycling.

At a quick glance it looks like my total running for the year far surpassed any other years at 1,180 miles running this year wahoo! Many years I've tried to hit 1k and never have been able to until this year.

Awesome miles for the year, Tristan. I've never done a thousand, ever, so definitely something for me to aim at in 17.

I seriously f****ng hate hail more than anything. In Devon it's like an instant -20c full grit hit. Take cover!!!! LOL

New Year's day parkrun for me to finish off this week -so 5km (plus the necessary pacing about at the start to keep warm while they do the usual announcements, etc...).
It was a good run even though I probably didn't really feel 100% at the start for some reason. Weather was pretty average for the time of year -basically wet, cold, grey & then raining for the last 10 minutes of the run.
Got a few more comments on my lack of footwear -generally along the lines of "...didn't get anything for Christmas then!..." & all good humoured stuff.
Good start to 2017:)...

I've had that 'sticky' sensation on a cold run this year. -Little unnerving at the time I recall, and a relief when you warm back up & all is still well.. I took it as a marker of where my low temperature limit is (better safe than sorry & all that..)
