Tuesday Boulder and I had a 5 mile run.
Heavy fog for Dallas, we could still see the moon through the fog (cool).
47 deg. f., 93 % Rh.

An easy 2 miles on Monday, amazing how fresh air and a little activity opens up your sinuses. I'm still wasn't feeling 100% so I just took it easy. There was a bit of snow and slush so I wore my Soft Stars, didn't want to stress my system so kept the core temperatures up.

Tuesday we had a good amount of snow down overnight, almost to the point of being a pain to run... maybe 3 or 4 inches. But I put on the shoes and went out for 5.8 miles, walking those last .8 for an easy cooldown.

At times it was still coming down pretty heavy, I debated what to do to keep the snow off my glasses. I don't have any winter hats with a rim, so I put on a regular hat and a visor over top of it. Perhaps a bit goofy but it worked mostly. Problem was those big flakes tend to float slowly and it takes just a minimal breeze to drive them horizontally so even with the visor down low the flakes were still getting me in the face at time. Yeah I know I'm not color coordinated either lol.

20.5 miles for the week for me, including 6.5 out in Sockwas and slushy conditions Monday, as well as 10 miles on a treadmill Thursday. Next week is scheduled to be a bit lighter with holiday stuff.

By the way, if any of you have dealt with frostbite, my daughter made an error in judgment with cold feet in subzero temps and is suffering. She posted over on another thread where people were talking about frostbite, but it hadn't been active in a while. I'm just hoping she can get some encouragement. Time will tell how bad it is.

Here is the thread on this site where she talks about it: https://www.thebarefootrunners.org/threads/1st-bf-injury-frostbite.3919/page-2#post-186039

I'm almost like your daughter. Worried about frostbite.

Sorry HSB I've not fallen foul of that yet (..fingers crossed, etc... that I'm not tempting fate;)).
Hope she's ok & that someone can give you some pointers...

First major snow in NYC that week, and I had caught a cold anyway, with a sinus headache, so although it was cleared and melted, I really didn't get out except a bit of walking in Xeros. I wimped out this week, I guess. I did get in some yoga at the gym. I'll enter in my mileage for the following week.
