Need help with past Winter Challenge

Hi Dana,

I filled in my participation on the spreadsheet based on how the competitions were titled in years past. Previously, they were identified by the year the competition began, thus the competition last year that ran from Oct 2015 through March 2016 was called Winter Challenge 2015. Using this nomenclature the current challenge would be called Winter 2016, but it looks like you're calling it 2017 on the spreadsheet. Of course, it is up to you call it whatever you want since you are running it, but I think it will leave a blank for 2016. That is, unless you want us to adjust the past years to identify them by the year they ended, not when they began. Just let me know. As I said, right now I filled it in based on what they were called at the time they were being run.

Thanks for all your work and dedication on this!

Mark,

Mark, thanks for your help. I'm still wet behind the ears, so I'll adjust to your understanding on how things went. I've changed the current year to 2016 and you'll have to now adjust your dates if they don't reflect proper year.

Thank you, @Einar!

Dana, what about using the naming convention the school system uses? Just like the school year, the winter spreads from one year to the next:

Winter Challenge 2010-2011
Winter Challenge 2011-2012
Winter Challenge 2012-2013
Winter Challenge 2013-2014
Winter Challenge 2014-2015
Winter Challenge 2015-2016
Winter Challenge 2016-2017

If it's easier, we can keep the current snowflakes as they are labeled.

Wow, you guys are awesome. Thanks for all the help. I've almost got the history spreadsheet updated, except for the first year.

I'm thinking keep the snowflakes like they are, this way we can still include people in the southern hemisphere if they want to participate.

So next I'll be needing directions on how to add the snowflakes to everyone's signature.

I'm working on that part in the back end. I'll let you know soon.

Thank you very much YOW! This group is just amazing. No twisting arms, people just step up and do what they can when they can. They are also very respectful of each other and are careful in what they say. These types of groups are very rare indeed and I'm glad I'm a part of it.
