8km early run for me this morning. Nice clear day & not too chilly again.
The days are getting shorter now though and it was dark for the first couple km's.

Ran with a head torch today which was a great help for where there was little or no street lighting -although it did seem to make everything that had the smallest amount of morning dew on it look like a potentially sharp object! All just innocent illusions though and it was a really good run while the sun arose across the lake. Legs and feet all feeling good:)....

Took Monday off after the long run Sunday. Tuesday cycled 5 miles to get to trail, ran 5 miles, and cycled 5 back shortly after getting back home, about 4pm, I was called in to work a nightshift. Was up for 24 hrs :dead:. Still got up with very insufficient rest next day and did a shorter 4 mile run. Did a few fast 1/2 mile repeats in there. Thursday a 7.5 mile easy run. Today a rest day, but we are setting record warm temps today so had to get out and enjoy it. I went out on the bike after I got my son from school and until a bit after sunset, 20 miles. Was 73F at my house, but suppose to turn fast and see lows in the 20's tomorrow night. :nailbiting:

5 miles Tuesday The moon was cool post super moon.
5 miles Thursday at 5:00 am just after a rain storm. Boulder and I heard 2 screech owls crying out. (nice)

Just as I guessed two weeks ago, I really didn't get any running in last week. Once I got to NY, I planned a spur-of-the-moment trip to St. Petersburg Florida with my mom and younger brother to visit my baby sister. We had a blast but I didn't run at all. Ate a lot! This week, I managed to get out everyday; logging a total of 34.6 barefoot miles with over 7 miles a day for Saturday and for today, Sunday. There was a little rain during yesterday's run which made it refreshing. Today's run was at the end of the afternoon and I saw the sun setting over Lake Merritt. The colors were great.

I had to take two off in a row, Saturday was just miserable out. Temps were around freezing or a bit less, but 35mph winds and wintry mix of stuff in the air and wet road surfaces. Sunday was about as cold, windy still but only 15-20 mph, and the ground had dried out so went for my coldest barefoot run so far this season, with a feels like 20F. 6.4 miles in, struggling with a bit of numbness. Would have liked to have done a long run, but conditions weren't good for it.

So that put my week only at 23 miles running, 32 cycling.

I'm posting this a bit late. Didn't get to a lot of running that week. 6.05 miles, about, that's the Central Park loop and a little beyond. Biked to Brooklyn in my Xeros: that's a good 26 miles, although I'm not sure what I should report here. Much more to report for the coming week.
