Fairly good week for me so far. 10.2km to start the week and 5.5km this morning.
The first run of the week was a wet one (which isn't my favourite), but this morning I managed to just get finished before the rain came. Temperatures still not too bad either here.

I've had 10km as a mental target for a little while, so it felt good to achieve that at last (-pales into insignificance next to some of the marathon & ultra distances people do I know, but it made me feel quite happy anyway:)..). Got a very simple "No shoes!" exclamation from another runner half way round, which made me smile too, especially as we seemed to be running at a similar-ish pace.

Feet & legs all good too, so will try and find time to get out again at the weekend...

5 miles Tuesday at 5:00 am
I was off today and early morning it was raining so I waited till 8:00 am to do 6 miles.
Running in daylight was different.
This may be my last outing till I Travel to Marathon TX to do a 1/2 marathon (this Saturday).
It should be interesting, this will be the first event I have ever traveled to.

Hope it all goes well for you. I will be interested to hear what you think about traveling to a race. I have never done that.

6.5 miles both Monday and Wednesday, then 10.2 fabulous miles today! That is the most running in a week (23.3 miles) since I was sick and had the tight hamstring from my race, though I did dance quite a lot of vacation last week. I have interspersed it with the regular spin biking and swimming, which I will do again tomorrow.

its holydays, plenty of free time.

I play a game : I try to find my "sustainable" distance, the one I can run (on asphalt) everyday, with my feet staying in the "velvet zone"

Monday : 16k
Tuesday : 16k
Wed : 19k (green zone until the end)
Thur : 10k (19k were not "sustainable") + 4k walk in the evening
Fri : 17k in the morning. in the afternoon, feet are feeling really good, 8 more km

next week, lets try 17k three or four days in a row

Its good news for me, it feels like I'm allowed to start to think about a marathon training

It's been a long while! But that doesn't mean I haven't been running barefoot. I ran six days this week for a total of almost 40 miles. On the other hand, I got in 10 miles last week. I might try to run again tomorrow depending on how I feel.

I worked from home this week so I was barefoot every time I left the house except for dinner at the neighbors. Several people talked to me about being barefoot. Only one guy mumbled about how hazardous it could be.

Managed to get out again at the weekend -just over 9.6km.
Fairly steady pace back out with my running partner. We took a slightly different route across some rough and really uneven surfaces, so the ankles are feeling it a little bit now (just like they've had to work a bit, nothing too bad). Rest day tomorrow, so should all be ok.
Quite happy with the week's runs overall...

I wasn't entirely out this week, but it was nice not having to run for a while! Took the week off to recover, which actually went pretty well (the recovery I mean) definitely bounced back better than my other marathons though still needed several days off. Got a nice walk with my son and dog at the nature preserve near my house, 2.3 miles, then today finally did a run - about 4 miles at a slow pace (11-12min/mi). I had a little bit of pain and straining in my right achilles and lower calf, much the same as I have struggled with for a while, but the left leg seemed fine. After about 1-2 miles my right calf eased up and I couldn't really feel it much after that. The next 3 days will be pretty busy with work so not sure if I'll get any runs in, but hopefully by the weeks end I'll be back to my normal runs.
