I am prepping to go out with him again at 6:00 (maybe 3 miles)
I think the exercise and good nutrition are helping his wound heal quickly.
Boulder really picks up our pace when he spots a rabbit or squirrel.

Had a pretty strong first half of the week, in fact since I haven't done a lot of mileage back to back I think this is a record of 4 days in a row of 39 miles (Sun-Wed 8.6, 12, 6.5, 12). Probably will take the rest of the week off though, but at least I hit 30 miles, starting Monday like I usually do. Working Thur-Sun, and besides the calves needing a little time off my whole body is stiff from sitting at the office. I may try and get the bike out after work though just for something, also helps me avoid traffic.

I'm ready for this heat wave to be over!

Had a yearling deer walk out onto the trail just ahead of me yesterday, I slowed up trying to give it some time to move off and not startle it, but the deer still took off to quickly and hooves slipped on the asphalt.

That's dedication.

Monday - 8.2 miles, swim later in the day
Tuesday - first outdoor ride in a while, perfect weather, all on greenbelt paths, took an hour. Managed to not hit all wiener dogs and toddlers who tried to get hit.
Wednesday - 7.4 miles
Thursday - rest day. Don't know if I was still tired from the 15 miles last Friday, followed by hours of dancing Saturday night or what....I did do a few hours of heavy duty yard work, though. Does that count as strength training or yoga?
Friday - 15 miles. Still a bit tired, but I kept it easy and was glad to do it.
Saturday - 2.5 mile "recovery run." My feet were a bit sensitive, but I was able to keep it light-footed. Will swim later.

That makes 33.1 miles of running for the week. Now I am pretty much coasting until the half-marathon event September 24. I emailed the race directors and they said it is mostly all on area greenbelts, which I happen to be pretty familiar with even though they are the next town over, so I anticipate being able to run it barefoot.

Well I did a very short easy jog today when I got home from work of 2 miles, legs were real tight. Got the next 3 weeks off with a race the last weekend. I plan on getting some good mileage in next week with one more big long run, then tapering the last two weeks. However there are storms forecasted every single day through next weekend.

Puts me at 32.8 miles for the week, plus 25.7 miles on the bike.

Managed to not hit all wiener dogs and toddlers who tried to get hit.
Does that mean you hit a few? :wideeyed:
Great mileage btw, and Runlite too, all those little runs sure do add up!

Hi! Sorry for being late. I've been on a trip and could not report on time :p
So, I had 4 barefoot runs of 6.3, 6.6, 4 and 3.1 km, what makes a total 20 km.
Plus, I went for 10.5 barefoot hike (I'll show you pics in another thread later). So it would be 30.5 km for the week.
Cheers!

So holidays all done now -took a deliberately lazy break in the sun.
No running, but as I seem to get fidgety when I'm doing nothing, I got some time in the gym at the resort and did a few BF walks instead. Logged 26km in the week just to keep ticking over...
