Hi! It's almost the end of week 28 for mileage reporting (although according to my calendar it should be week 29 :p ) and no one has reported a single mile! So here I go:

For this week I had runs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on distances of 6.5, 4 and 2.6 km, what makes a total 13.1 km so far.
Also, on Sunday I plan for a barefoot hike.

Cheers!

8.2 miles Monday, 5.6 speed interval workout Wednesday in Lunas, and 14 miles barefoot today with Altra shod dear hubby and another new running friend running circles around me, although they only went 13 miles. To be honest, I was a bit intimidated by the new cute 30something running with us (at husband's pace) :nailbiting:, but she is very nice. It didn't hurt that she expressed amazement at me running barefoot and being in good shape. (I may end up helping her with her swimming, because she is attempting a triathlon in a month and is panicked about putting her face in the water....) The 14 miler included quite a bit more rough pavement than I usually do in a long run, but it went well, meaning it felt more comfortable this time around (until I got really tired) and my overall pace for the distance was a bit better than last week. I think I will do it again to help prepare for possibilities on the course in September. I don't think I will have any problem getting in 4.2 miles tomorrow to finish the week with 32 miles.

Good wake up call KTR..
Really enjoyable 6km this morning. Quite a few people around today -fishermen, runners, workmen dismantling some event stands from the previous week & the usual bin man (he's getting quite chatty now, which is nice -always says hello first & seems very content with his early morning duties...).
Legs & feet all feeling pretty good, so a nice start to the weekend:)...

Just over 7miles today, really humid but with a strong breeze. Felt myself overheating so cut the run shorter than I intended, enjoyed the sweat bath though.:) 10min pace.

I've been gone the last couple weeks - vacation with my folks. Was very busy and also didn't have internet access for most of the trip. So just a quick catch up... last week started out with a 3 day hike in the Adirondack Mountains, the Dix Range (5 of the ADK's 46 high peaks). I'll have a separate post in the hiking section soon about that trip (all barefoot!). Most of the hiking was over 2 days, then 3rd just to go from tentsite back to car. Total 3 days was 22.7 miles, 14:18 hrs moving time, about 7400' ascent (and the same descent). Total distance wasn't nearly as long as previous hikes but these were pretty hard miles, probably the hardest hike I've done. Here is a quick GPS tract overlay on google maps.

5 mi ride after I got back Wednesday to stretch the legs a bit, then a combo ride/run to Whele State Park Thursday, about 20 mile ride and 8 mile run.

A few pics from Robert Wehle State Park just from the cell phone while I was running:

And while your right there next to the lake it's so nice to run out into the water!

Thursday evening I joined my mom's Kayak group for a nice 5 mile paddle.

Saturday was a 2.5 mile walk along the beach.

So total for the week on foot (hike/walk/run) 33.5 miles, 25 on the bike.
