Hello All,

It's been a while since I posted on here and sorry if this has been covered before.

Can anyone recommend a good pair of "barefoot" golf shoes?

I've just bought some True Links "Elements" online but they are going back - I don't like the fit and feel at all.

The worst thing is if you put the shoe on the floor, the toe end is at least 1" off the floor - toes aren't like that!

If anyone has a good recommendation, that would be great!

I thought about using these for golf, anyone got them?

Thanks again!

I play golf barefoot regardless of whether the course uses pesticides. I figure I'm only marginally increasing risk. Picking up a ball that has been rolling around in the stuff is exponentially worse than just stepping on it.

On a strictly golf note, I found that I play best when walking and barefoot. Walking helps me line up the current shot and survey my prospective lie for the next. Being barefoot forces me to keep balance and tempo right. I think it's the combination of more feel and less traction that does it.

You could wear anything comfortable as no one really requires golf attire anymore. Here are a couple of recommendations from people I trust.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure about barefooting to be honest as I'm often in the rough and there are rattlesnakes about where I play!

I can't do Vibram 5 fingers - have tried, and as much as I wanted to like them they weren't right for my toes and even seemed to pinch a nerve or make something very sensitive in one of my toes. I tried a few sizes and models and all the same...

Jack - I hadn't seen the ECCO golf shoes before so will check them out! There's a store close to me too, that I didn't know about. I hope they have those in stock there.

The Ecco biom is good but have an insole that is pretty built up and creates a pretty big heal to toe drop. But if you replace it with a flat insole they are nice.
