Anyone watch this on Netflix yet? I really enjoyed the film, although I was kind of surprised they let them do the documentary. 100+ miles with 60k foot elevation gain is unbelievably gnarly.

Watched it the other day and loved the film. Its a blend of history of the ultra and documenting one of the races. The title is appropriate for the race as you'll learn when you see it. Gnarly is right!

To the original post: It is my feeling that the Race Director decided to participate in the documentary because he saw two things changing, his own age as well as health and the word/ popularity of his exclusive race spreading through the Internet.

I watched it a couple days ago. I've seen a few short vids about it before but the documentary was awesome.

Still can't get my head around doing 5 consecutive off trail marathons with an average gradient of 20% uphill and 20% downhill (that elevation gain is only got on half the Barkley the other half is going down hill by the same amount). It really doesn't compute in my head. :banghead:
