I have almost every model of Xero shoes and a bunch of other competitor's shoes but, these Umara Z-Trails are the best so far. There's just enough cushioning so that I don't mind the rocks and roots along the trails in the woods where I run my dogs every day. Stream crossings are no problem either. The tread is great and keeps me from slipping around in the mud. Customer service from Steven and Lena has always been the best and these made their way across the country and onto my feet in only a couple of days. Each time these guys come out with something new, it tops the last model. I can't wait to see what they do next. I can't imagine them making anything better than these.
From JB: Great trail shoes
These shoes are great for a rougher terrain. They offer just a bit of protection but yet I still feel close to nature. The fit is great and they are super easy to adjust!

Just received the new Z Trail. Wonderful improvements over last years thinner model. The bit of padding on foot base is great, traction perfect and the little changes on straps are good improvements. Received in Black and now going for an additional pair in Red.
From Scott: Improved on something darn near perfect!
The new footbed conforms to my feet without feeling spongy or squishy. It's just the right amount. Great to walk around in, perfect for yoga. My inaugural run was the 5 mile loop to my library which mixes streets and a sandy beach. I can't wait to see how the new outsole performs. Ask me again in 500 miles!
From Kent: Good first time minimum sandals
I have been wearing Teva's but they seem like just the bottom of a boot strapped on. Toes are free, feet are not. The Umara Z-Trail are closer to the feeling and freedom I am looking for. They are lightweight, flexible and comfortable. A couple of times I have forgotten that I had them on. Thanks for making these for us.
