Since I really hate running in the cold I've been on the treadmill till it warms up. I have always found the treadmill stupidly boring, even with music I can't get more than three miles before I just have to stop. I've finally come up with a solution; Netflix documentaries! I got a full five miles in yesterday and I felt really good (slow, took an hour, but I'm good with slow). The documentaries take my mind off the burning monotony and my dog sitting next to me staring at my feet.

So, what do you got? What are some good documentaries available on Nexflix, Youtube, Amazon? I'm partial to outdoorsy types of films, I watched 180 Deg. South a few days ago, yesterday I got most of the way Mile...Mile and 1/2.

Hopefully the weather breaks here in the next few weeks so I can get outside, but in the mean time I might as well learn stuff!

I like watching movies myself, don't you like movies?

I'm not much of a movie watcher, unless it's really good, I get bored. I like documentaries, they hold my attention much better than movies.

There's the Bear Grylls documentaries that you can find all over the place. Search for Bear Grylls 'man vs wild' channel on youtube.

I'll look him up, I think I've probably seen most of his episodes, but maybe I can rewatch some older ones, good tip! I like the Dual Survior show with the original two dudes, the new guys just aren't the same. Thanks

There is this documentary called Happy People I think.
It's based in Siberia you might like it, I know I did.

You could also do a search for Ray Mears, he's done lots of series on bush craft and survival in the the wilderness. A really knowledgeable and interesting guy.
Michael Palins series can fun, pole to pole or full circle if you want to learn about different cultures.
I also enjoy the Ginger Runners channel if you ignore the shoe horror show reviews. He even does the music for his films. Just a very honest, normal dude sharing his running without all the BS.

I watched Ray's first episode over the weekend, good stuff! I'll be watching more very soon. Thanks for the tip.

If you watch it let me know what you think of it.

Happy People is awesome !

Isn't it? I'll take it you've seen it. It always amazes me our bodies abilities to adapt just to about anything.
And here I am complaining about winter and how long and cold it is...shame on me:cold:
