...I don't know what to think.

After several week into barefoot running today I decided to go for a shod run on my Bikilas LS —which I totally love, BTW— because it was a bit too cold and I still suffer a bit from a healing blister.
The point is I expected a better overall performance than when run barefoot. Something significant, I mean. But no. I got 6:16 min/km when in my last BF run I got 6:26. Also today I run for 6 km while I usually run for 10 km when barefoot.

So the experience turned to be inconclusive, but makes me think that I can be as fast running barefoot as doing it shod. Of course it's possible, but I'm surprised at me being able to do that.

Yes, but what I mean is I'm only 6 or 7 week into barefoot running. My pace when shod was around 5:45 min/km, but now it's getting worse whereas my pace when barefoot is improving.
Anyway, I'm just thinking aloud...

Enjoy the journey ............ don't worry about the pace yet. It's still very early days.

It takes a little time, but you'll find that your speed will increase barefoot, and you will be faster barefoot...I think most barefoot runners have said the same.

Shoes are good tools for special occasions but they tend to slow us down.
Considering you have only been running BF for several weeks congrats on making such progress so fast ! :)

Cuida te hombre! Please do your best to keep the focus on excellent form and slow, careful building of your "instrument" rather than speed. Think LONG RUN and fun.

Ere de Espana originalmente?

I try to do my best and not run too fast. Actually, now I'm learning to really enjoy it. Formerly I run for 5k and tried to average 5:45 min/km, but I always ended really tired. Now I go slower, reach for 10 km and then I still feel I'd be able to run a bit more.
Sí, soy de España, de pura cepa :)
