I received a pair of the Black Boulder Boots for Christmas and have been wearing them whenever I am out, but not at work. I really like these boots. Very roomy and comfortable and they look nice as well. They are the first pair of minimalist footwear that my wife complimented on their looks. They look better in person then on the website, in my opinion. It’s too soon to determine the durability, but they seem well made and show no signs of excessive wear so far.

Pros: Very Light weight, very roomy toe box. Look nice. Nice and secure on the foot, they don’t move around or rub. The removable insole is a nice touch for personal preferences.

Cons: the only issue I have it the opening seems narrow and I have some difficulty getting the shoes on with socks, especially warm thick socks. It might be because the size 43 covers both 9 and 9.5 in US sizing. I really have to take the laces down and loosen the rest to get them on. They might benefit from speed laces toward the top. Not really a big deal though.

Overall I definitely recommend them. I’ll be taking a good look at Lems, next time I need another pair of boots or shoes. (I really wish they made an all leather boot).

Another review! Thank you!

I just bought a pair of the "Navy Stout" Boulder Boots about 2 weeks ago. I love them so far. Very roomy and comfortable. Better for the winter than my Lems Primal 2s (although it has been in the 50s and 60s since I got them... weird for Colorado at the end of January/beginning of February. I've gotten several compliments and comments on their looks. I have noticed the same problem Woodsman mentioned when trying to wear them with thick socks. They work, it's just harder to get them on. Today I wore them with NO socks, and they were great!
