Hi to you all, glad to meet you!

I got to know BF running a couple of years ago while watching a youtube channel. Since then I've been intrigued by the fact that some people actually do run barefoot. I said to myself I'd give it a try but then again, I never dared to take that step. (I guess my fear of getting hurt is way bigger than my courage to actually run barefoot - but I guess that's something to overcome.

Since a couple of weeks, however, after suffering from some lower back pain when getting up, I remembered the words of an old clogmaker I once met at an open air museum here, who said that since people started wearing shoes, all kinds of ailments (such as bad sight, back achings, etc...) had appeared since mankind has been wearing shoes.

Thus, I decided to go barefoot whenever I can, and I must admit : I 'm loving it!!! I walk around barefoot in the house, I try to pick up things with my feet and I do walks with the dog barefoot! I hope all these things will prepare my feet to become a barefoot runner soon!

Love to hear from you guys!

Greetzz

Welcome! :barefoot:

Thanks Hans,

I think you have it right there above : it's the listening to my body and feet that seems to be the toughest of it all. But nevertheless : I already enjoy walking barefoot, and I'm certain the running will get better eventually.

Bart
