Scott if the pain is localized to one area be concerned for stress fracture. does it hurt to hop gently? get someone you trust to examine you. Dr Mark
 
Other parts of the leg and hip may be involved. Often, when we have pain, we believe the source is where we feel it. It is quite possible that from the fall, the hip may have been jammed up, the myofascia on that side may have tightened causing abnormal stress because the leg does not rotate as you run (it should pronate which is turning out slightly, to allow proper function of the hip and knee).

Other symptoms may include upper back tightness a few hours after a run, back or hip pain or tightness on the opposite side perhaps in the groin. I would suggest seeing a good sports chiropractor for a more precise assessment after all this time
