Hi all - I'm not new - I just "fell off the wagon" for the last 18-months or so. I had been running BF 5k several times a week, with my max up to 6 miles or so. I got sidetracked with "life", but I'm hoping to get back into the routine.

I recently re-started walking 1-mile barefoot with no issues, and plan on mixing in a few 1/4 mile runs until my legs, lungs and feet get back in shape. I'm always barefoot at home and continue to wear very minimal work shoes, so I think I've been able to maintain at least a little of my former foot strength.

I just committed myself to a 5k fun run with some freinds at the end of October, so hopefully this will motivate me to get back into it. The thought of being the "wierd guy" with no shoes is extra motivation.

Welcome back, Chad! Missed you.

Hey Chad welcome back. I remember you back then (18 months went by already?) Are you still in the Las Vegas area (or am I thinking of someone else)?

I think you will be able to get back to your previous level soon. Like riding a bike.

Yah - that's me here in 'Vegas (Henderson actually). It's the long hot summers that kill my motivation and always leave me out of shape when the weather finally cools down. Speaking of bikes, I just started riding again, and my butt is sore too  .

Actually, I'm surprized at how well my feet are doing - it seems my plantar skin has held up much better than everything else. Already knowing the difference from "good" sore and potential injury helps to.

My brother lives in Henderson.
