So I went running yesterday, about 5 miles in total and when i was crossing the street i needed to speed up to avoid a vehicle coming fast at me. This is when I pushed down and dug into the road and lost a rather large patch of skin on my second smallest toe on my left foot. So I didn't really notice until my a check of my footses, but i was leaving a dime sized patch of blood on the trail/everywhere... i got worried and decided to just run the rest of the way home since there was nothing i could do [i dont have a phone of any kind].

Sorry, I'll get to the point... is it safe if i just put some tape over it and have another 5 miles or so? My feet are pretty hardened, and I rarely injure myself. I have electrical tape, masking tape, superglue... possibly a roll of some climbers tape in my room. Advice! This is my first post here BTW! Wuhuu!

I haven't lost that much skin before, but I have used bandaids for the rare scrape. They don't stay on very long. Mostly, I focused on trying to keep it from getting infected.

Yes, I had put a band-aid on when i got home and cleaned it, i also had one on during work in my shoe. I Just want a solution. I don't mind the pain so much as the thought of my toe getting worse so i'm wondering if running about 5 miles on an asphalt trail would be very bad.
