What beer are you drinking tonight? For the new forum...

Just picked up a variety 12 pack from Ninkasi. It has the Spring Reign American Pale Ale (good summer beer), Total Domination IPA, Oatis Oatmeal Stout, and Sterling Pils. Really starting to like this company out of Eugene Oregon.

Very nice brew, as are most of the SN line.

Was a nice day today, had the place to myself. Nice n quiet and was able to get a lot done including mowing for the first time. Not with a scythe, but was barefoot ;-) Opened up an Ommegang Belgian pale ale with my 7oz venison eye of round, and salad.

I mowed about a 1/2 acre today using a scythe. Great allover workout, plus will get quite a bit of hay out of it for my critters. Rewarding myself with a Green Flash Imperial IPA. Drafted into a 64oz growler just Thursday night.
I had one of those the other day. It's ok, nothing awesome, but not bad. Tonight I had a Lompoc C-Note Imperial IPA again. I liked it much more this time than I did last time. Of course recently I haven't had many of the good Imperial IPA's I normally get so my flavor buds were probably excited to have a good beer again.

I really liked their IPA I had a couple weeks ago, didnt get a chance to try thier imperial though.

I always scythe barefoot.
Oh I think you misunderstood, wasnt directing anything towards ya. Thats cool you do that, though I have to mow a bit too much to not use the tractor. Still takes me a good 3+ hours, not including trimming. I've only done it barefoot starting towards the end of last year, but Its a nice way to get a bit of a tan! I'm still white as a sheet, and want to look a little better for my race next weekend as I hope to get a decent pic!

[127406, member: 7538"]Now offense taken. Just finished mowing my riding ring (100x100ft). Took me two hours in the rain. After church tonight I will celebrate with a Dark Hollow Barrel Brewed stout and a cigar.

Haha! At first I read that as 'AT church tonight'. That would be a church to go to.

Enjoying an Oberon, an unfiltered wheat ale by Belle's. It is a good lawn mowing beer and a great fuel source for human powered (safe for barefoot) mowing. So here is Oberon holding an Oberon:

Last night I had an Oakshire Brewing Overcast Espresso Stout. It's good, but not my favorite stout. You can really smell the espresso in it and it was almost overwhelming at times. I've had this before, but I don't recall the espresso flavor and smell being so strong. In any case, it's a good beer but i wouldn't be able to drink it all the time. Besides, it makes me have issues getting to sleep as it seems to be a pick me upper.

Third - shift amber lager - a new one for me - 5.3 percent. Not bad after a 13k trail runuploadfromtaptalk1367698800513.jpg

Sorry for the delay Nick, haven't been on or posting in several days. I'll defer to others as I'm not good at reviewing beers... it and most of Ommegang's brews score pretty good at beeradvocate. This one was 92/92%. My somewhat beer-snob friend who got me into craft beers a couple years ago recommended Ommegang to me as one of his favorites. He always talks of their Hennepin, but I have yet to try that one. The Three Philisophers is a Belgian Quadrupel blended with cherry kriek. I havent really had any other Quadrupel to compare, and this isnt my normal style beer, but I think its pretty good. Its a heavy hearty ale, malty, with a strong dark fruit presence of cherry and raison. 9.8% I'm not sure what they come in over there, but the big corked bottle I had gave a warning about pouring slowly to not stir up the yeast sediment, just a warning.

Today was Founders All Day IPA. :hungry: Not rated nearly as high on BA, but great for a weekday evening after a workout, 4.7% yet a good IPA taste.
