Mileage Reporting 13th Week of 2013

Went on a low-key 2 hours ride in the country with the local cycling group. Was thinking about fitting in a run, too, but just got word that one son and his fiance' are towing back one of our cars after a deer jumped in front of them. The kids are okay. The deer is dead, the car apparently totaled. I think I'm done for the day.

seeing lots of deer in our area lately, too.
thankful that at least all the humans did ok. sympathies on the car.

Did my long run I planned on, upped a mile from last weekend for 12. That makes 30.3mi for the week. I think this is the first time breaking 30!

I know I was really close last fall but I don't think I actually broke 30 miles. Well one goal for early 2013 done! Feet and legs are just a little sore now, but nothing really out of the norm. My soles were starting to get a bit ouchie by the end though! I averaged about 8:45 pace minus the warmup and cooldown. Must of been all that beer and pizza yesterday, guess my body needs the carbs ha!

Happy Easter!

Here comes Peter Cotton tail;
hopping down the bunny trail;
hipity hop Easter's on its way....

The problem with the Easter bunny is that he keeps leaving lots of chocolate about which is no good for someone like me who has the willpower of a dog in a meat factory........Must resist...........must resist..........darn it! !!!!!!! chomp, slobber, chomp, drool.;)

8 miles of shod hiking at the ski resort. You think bf runners get a lot of funny looks and comments, how about a guy hiking up and down a ski slope with no gear? "You ok dude?" (snowboarder talk) Anyway, about 4500 vertical change, soft snow was like hiking in sand. At 9,500 to 11,000 feet, a great workout.

40 miles for the week. Mostly hiking and shod, but I'll take it with a :).
