Trying this again. SO, those with weeks ending Saturday...hope this works for you. What are you up to this week?

Sunday: rest

Monday: 1hr latin dance

Tuesday 5mi run, barefoot with jogger and 1hr Zumba

Wednesday shooting for another 5-6 miler

My week has to end Sunday,

My week has to end Sunday, but I'll improvise. No running tonight cause of some residual ankle soreness from running hard for two races last week. I'll run Thursday and Sunday normal.

I'll continue with my core strengthening tomorrow night with another weights/bodywork session on Friday.

What about those of us with

What about those of us with weeks ending on Tuesday?

Does the week really ever

Does the week really ever end, isn't it just a continuous stream of going ons? :p

Sorry for the ankle soreness Schwab, hope your time off clears that right up.

No running for now- foot is not ready, but i did get in a 6 mile hike in VFF's on wednesday, and some swimming in the ocean on friday.

14 for me so far and I'm hoping for another 14 tomorrow. My left soleus is very tight, or at least it was when I tried to run today. I could barely let my heel touch down because of my reduced range of motion. Hopefully the stretching and massage I've done after that has helped enough.

Ok, this is a limiter post as

Ok, this is a limiter post as I want to keep myself from running any more this week. (Monday-Sunday) I need to let my legs and feet rest a little as I've been pushing myself a little too hard lately just to see how much I can handle. Seems I've found my limit and I'll be more careful from now on.

Tues. 8/17 - BFR - 3.02

Tues. 8/17 - BFR - 3.02 miles

Thur. 8/19 - BFR - 3.41 miles

Fri. 8/20 - BFR - 2.08 miles

Sat. 8/21 - BFR - 2.73 miles

My usual long run on Saturday was cut short... Much like Blind Boy tight soleus was the cause (live to fight another day). Otherwise it would have been a record week for me.

11.25 miles total.

I ended up resting the ankle (Post Tibial Tendonitis has reared its ugly head) in the end. Ihad a great workout Wednesday with bodyweight/core stuf at the gym followed by 5K run home. And that was it for the running because of the PTT flareup. Friday I did a difficult upper body workout to help prepare for the Warrior Dash in October (mud run with obstacles and climbing). I wanted to run today or yesterday but the post tib is just super tight. My focus now is obstacle course prep because I have a really weak upper body. On a positive note, my core is rocking- a month ago I could barely do a plank at all due to my pelvic injury and now I am clocking out all kinds of core-specific stuff.

3.1 Miles for the week in water shoes

 Had a fabulous

Had a fabulous week....running is feeling good again, and I tried barefoot mountain bike riding (to the amazement of my brothers-in-law...)

Here's the milage: 2.5 easy miles (first "real run") since my injury 8 weeks ago....

AND THEN YESTERDAY!!!!

My parents and I went to Mt. Rainier to do the 4 mile Comet trails hike....2 miles up 900 feet, 2 miles down...I decided to run it...and it was fantastic! This trail was so unlike the trails I run on at home, soft, yet technical, tons of the "helpful rocks", beautiful roots, cold streams to wade through. Enjoyed myself immensly. My leg held up just fine. And I'm not very sore today at all. One of the best parts, all the people commenting on my barefeet and kilt on the trail. That's my mom (I waited for an hour for them at the top, then ran back down 1/3 of the way to find them, then walked back up with them)...then ran as fast as I could back down! It was AWESOME.

2 miles walking BF through the northwest trek wildlife park...

Well, welcome back, cousin!

Well, welcome back, cousin! I'm glad you're doing so much better. How did mom like seeing her son in a skirt, er, uh, I mean kilt? ;-)

LOL TJ....she's cool with the skirt...AS LONG as she THINKS is a legitimate family "tartan"...I didn't tell her it's called "Pacific Blue" LOL....she has more of a problem with the barefoot thing, oddly enough though, not with the "running" barefoot, but just being barefoot in general....i have to wash my feet EVERYTIME I come back inside...a bit irritating ;-D.

30.5 miles for me this

30.5 miles for me this week.

I've been on vacation! I did a 15.6 mile long run in Michigan in my husband's home town. It was weird for me - all of the roads are 1 mile apart and you can see for MILES. I enjoyed it for the change of pace.

You're going to be envious of my Saturday morning run. We spent Friday night in Niagara Falls, Ontario. So I did a 4 miler from my hotel to the Maid of the Mist entrance, and then up past the Falls and to Dufferin Islands. It was pretty awesome.

Yes, I am SICK with jealously

Yes, I am SICK with jealously and turning a very dark shade of green. Thanks for that, Silly! It's all your fault!

Mt. Rainier, Niagara Falls,

Mt. Rainier, Niagara Falls, I'm green, too. Congrats, Nate, on the comeback and congrats, Board, on the distance record for barefoot miles!
