*IMPORTANT* IBRD 2013 POLL - NEED YOUR VOTES

What Day Do You Prefer To Hold International Barefoot Running Day on?

  • Total voters
    75
  • Poll closed .
Sometimes I wonder, Sailor, if it's just us posters who are causing the view count to increase or if it's really lurkers looky-looing the numbers up.

Now, Ms. Dama, diggin' up old worms, huh? :) That was discussed a long time ago, and pretty much, it was decided that Sunday was a better choice.

Now, where is the stirring the pot thingy when you need it?

We need a "stirring the pot" smiley. ;-)

I voted once but this keeps popping up in my what's new so I just view and sometimes read what people have posted or sometimes just backspace out of it so that it clears it out of the whats new for me. I've popped in here quite a few times though because it always seems to be in my whats new. I would imagine that people doing this would rack up the number of views very quick.

Yes, that's what I meant. Us posters keep coming back to see what others are saying.

I don't remember seeing this before to vote Sat or Sun. But since we have more members, can we vote for that again? :)

Yeah I keep checking the poll as well.
I'm guessing that more people work Saturday than Sunday, and that was one of the reasons we decided on that last time around, BF Dama & Spoon.
I wonder if the total number of voters being at 59 after six full days of polling means that only 59 of us BRSer's are reader/posters? It would be interesting to view a non-secret ballot version to see who has voted...I'm assuming all the regulars for the most part.

A good barefoot run followed by a Corona and margarita... what better way to celebrate??? Also, seeing how we just had a baby, if I went out for a long barefoot run on my wife's first mother's day, I'd be in deep doo doo.

I vote for May 5th.

I'd rather suffer the wrath of Mexican's Latino's Hispanic's for running on CdM than the wrath of my wife for running on Mother's day.

Ramzev hit the nail on the head. Knowing the dynamics of my family, if I went on a planned group run on mother's day I probably wouldn't have to worry about the next mother's day.

One day left to get your votes in, as it stands right now May 5th looks like the preference of the masses.

France has voted:
8 votes for May 5
6 votes for May 12.

So either you can add the individual votes to those above (voting took place in the French forum) or you can add the combined vote of one for May 5. Up to you.

Thanks for listening,

Christian

All the votes count so they will be included in the tally. Thanks Christian for organizing your groups votes.

So the final tally is as follows:

May 5: 75 votes
May 12: 14 votes

So the masses have spoken, the date will remain the first Sunday in May for 2013.

May 5th it is.
Info on International Barefoot Running Day will be going up in the next few days as I get things organized, this will include details on the new T-Shirt Logo Design Contest.

Stay Tuned.

If this is where you vote, then I vote May 5th. Although "consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds," it makes sense to me to set a specific day (as in, the first Sunday in May), rather than allow a particular Sunday's holiday status to make the determination (after all, next year, Cinco de Mayo is on a Monday). However, being the good little barefoot runner that I am, I will happily celebrate IBRD on any day that the majority chooses. I just won't necessarily change my nail polish color to honor it.

Speaking of which, what ARE the appropriate color of toenail paint to use to celebrate IBRD? Inquiring toes want to know....

I think green and blue toe nail polish would be perfect!
